Meet Wendy

I’m not just another lawyer.

I’m a strategist.  A collaborator.  A trusted advisor.  An analytical problem-solver with a knack for quickly synthesizing new information to deliver pragmatic, business-focused guidance.

“No” doesn’t build businesses.  Taking calculated risks does.  Every business enterprise has a different risk profile–there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach.  I help my clients develop innovative legal and business solutions that consider the objectives of all stakeholders and that optimize both risk and reward.

My international experience and awareness of how cultural differences affect business relationships have proven especially valuable when guiding clients to expand their global footprint. And in my journey as a corporate executive—working to build a company from startup through IPO—I learned how to navigate the challenges of running a business with “can’t fail” tenacity, impeccable ethics, and the ability to gracefully and professionally manage the dynamics of rapidly changing environments.

I’m a frequent speaker and lecturer on business and legal topics, particularly ag biotech transactions, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property.  I have guest lectured on agribusiness topics at Harvard Business School, agricultural biotechnology law and business at Arizona State University College of Law and at Harvard University, and have served as a Life Sciences cohort with the ASU Center for Law, Science & Innovation.  I especially enjoy engaging with the next generation of legal and business executives  and exchanging ideas about how we all can do things better tomorrow than we did yesterday.

I’m not a “business suit” lawyer.  I’m a “roll up my sleeves and get stuff done” lawyer.  Everything’s real. I won’t do anything just for show.

When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me training martial arts with my husband, Brian, and sons, Connor and Patrick; exploring the great outdoors; or drinking a nice bottle of wine with friends.
